Celebrating Creativity
As soon as I became a head of Art I put a focus on celebrating students work, especially at KS3 which had traditionally been left to dark corridors on scrappy boards to allow KS4 to shine in public spaces.

Being a teenager can be tricky and having the confidence to share visual work that has your personal stamp on it can be hard to take. So everyone no matter the ability had their artwork framed and displayed, equality across the arts. Confidence began to grow. Students were trying hard to own the artist of the term exhibition space! The annual KS3 and KS4 exhibitions were an important part of the school calendar.
